Singapore Detains Teenagers Over Planned Attacks

Radicalisation in the Shadows Singapore's Internal Security Department has detained three teenagers under the age of 20, accused of planning violent attacks inspired by jihadist ideologies.

The teens, students in Singapore's well regarded education system, were allegedly radicalized online and had become fixated on extremist ideas promoted by terrorist groups like the Islamic State.

The investigation revealed that the 14 year old at the center of this case planned to stab his schoolmates, targeting non Muslim teachers and students, and intended to livestream the violence.
